At this point we've finally gotten settled into our routine. Which typically consists of screaming at Caitlyn to hurry up so I'm not late for work every morning. And MacKenzie screaming at us to hurry up and get her dinner ready every night when we get home. She has really turned into quite the crankster. It seems like there is some invisible switch that gets tripped at precisely 5pm that turns her from a sweet, happy, playful toddler into a mean, nasty little girl. She can throw tantrums with the best of them, and she's not even 2 yet. I think we are in some serious trouble with this one.
We had conferences for Caitlyn last week. She got all 1s (which apparently is good), however, they felt it very necessary to mention that if she doesn't learn how to stay on task she will not do that well in 3rd grade. I'm torn between being happy that someone else finally noticed she has an issue with that, and being upset that instead of giving us suggestions on how to help her, the teacher simply stated that she needs too much help. Isn't that kind of the teacher's job, to help the kids who need help? I can't imagine she is the only one in the class that has this affliction. Oh, and the other new revelation, is that she doesn't speak properly so they will be having her meet with a speech therapist. Lots of fun stuff in store for her this next quarter I guess!
And in 7 more weeks we will be adding another one to the fun. I have been trying to get Bill to paint her room so we can get it set up, but he informed mel ast night that he isn't going to paint yet because he's just sure the ultrasound tech is wrong and it's going to be a boy. So, if anyone would like to come paint for me I'd be super happy! :) I'll even bake you something, your choice!

Is it over yet?
After a bazillion boxes and lots of help (Thanks Mom, Dad, Jeff, Mikey and everyone else I missed!) we are FINALLY moved into our new house! With the exception of all of the dishes, utensils and other kitchen gadgets that are in the "little" storage unit still. I am spending this afternoon waiting for the Direct TV guy to show up. Why do they always come at the very end of your 4 hour window??
On another note, we found out yesterday that we will soon be the parents of THREE beautiful baby girls. An increase of one for those mathmatically challenged :) While there was a bit of moping at first, we are very excited that the doctors say she is healthy and doing wonderful! Just to answer everyone's question, NO we will not be trying for FOUR!! Bill has resigned himself to having nephews instead of sons. I think it will work out for everyone.

The waiting game
If you're thinking of purchasing a new home, i encourage you to think twice and stock up on the asprin/prozac! Every other day there is something else they absolutely have to have that day, and then you get no response for 3 days. Maybe it's just Wells Fargo. They did this to us on the last move and I had to get all pregnant on their ass. I'm really hoping we don't have to go through that this time as it will not be pretty! However, if everything goes as planned, we are less than 3 weeks from living in our own house, with separate closets, a bathroom we don't have to share with the kids, and a kitchen big enough for more than one more person at a time! Have I mentioned that I'm a bit excited about this?
Caitlyn is going to be very disappointed when we tell her that her camp has had to close down due to the flooding. Apparently you can't get to the camp via the normal route, and the thought of taking a bus full of screaming children on the detour, every day, twice a day, made them go ahead and close it down! Now we get to decide, do we put her in a CB Y camp for a week while we move, or do we drive her out to the Y by the new house every day.. Ugh.. Can someone else make some decisions for me because it's just not working for me right now. I think i need a nap!

Where's Caitlyn?
We officially sent Caitlyn away! Well, at least for the month of June. She is spending time with Grandma, soaking up the rays at the pool and feeding the deer if I know her like I think I do. There will probably also be Hide and Seek with Gramps and Tea Parties with Granny. What else could a 7 year old ask for?
While she is gone we get to watch the dog wander around the house and sit at the door looking pathetic because her playmate is gone. MacKenzie doesn't seem to notice yet, typical sibling behavior. We are also realizing how quiet it is without her around and how much we miss her already! It's hard to believe she will be in 2nd grade next year. Whoever allowed her to grow up to fast should be shot. This year the 4th of July will definitely be my favorite holiday as we will be picking her up, closing on the house and hopefully, finding out what kind of baby we're having, all within a week. Exciting times I tell ya!
